Rollingwood is a small community next door to Austin’s 350-acre Zilker Park. The community maintains a small-town feel through a high rate of civic involvement. Political elections are ushered in with civil debate and the voter turnout is high. Even local races for alderman and mayor are healthily contested.
The city maintains its own public park system with softball fields and children’s play area to rival that of Zilker Park. The city has been noted in the past for having very stringent traffic law enforcement.
